I am an interdisciplinary researcher and educator with a background bridging Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, and Digital Media Design. Since September 2023 I have been holding a position as assistant professor in the Department of Intelligent Systems at TU Delft. My research focuses on imbuing intelligent systems with the ability to estimate the thoughts and feelings of humans during joint interactions. For this purpose, I explore computational models of human cognitive-affective processes, which use relevant multimodal sensor data (e.g., from cameras or wearable devices) to estimate how people evaluate situations or make decisions.
