Dr. Jakub Tomczak
I am an assistant professor (UD) in the Computational Intelligence Group (Department of Computer Science) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). In my research, I am mainly interested in probabilistic modeling such as Variational Auto-Encoders and Flow-based models for image processing. Moreover, my research focuses on approximate Bayesian inference, and inference/optimization with simulators, with applications to sensory data processing, systems biology, and adaptive systems.
